LIVE SPACE Nordic/Baltic Spatial Audio Showcase
The LIVE SPACE Nordic/Baltic Spatial Audio Showcase, curated by the Music Innovation Studies Centre of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, presents a unique fixed media concert within the immersive spatial audio dome provided by Dirty Deal Audio (Riga, Latvia). Set in the atmospheric venue of Sodas 2123, this event features a meticulously selected collection of works from LIVE SPACE teachers, as well as esteemed instructors and alumni of previous international workshops coordinated by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
The showcase takes advantage of the advanced setup, configured with an array of speakers arranged in a dome to create an enveloping spatial audio experience. With a diameter of ten metres and a height of 4.75 metres, the dome offers an intimate setting to immerse the audience into an exclusive sonic experience.
This show is an exploration of the potential of spatial sound to transform our experience of music, highlighting the innovative approaches to composition and performance developed by a vibrant community of Nordic and Baltic musicians. Attendees are invited to submerge themselves in a sound environment where music extends beyond traditional boundaries, offering a glimpse into the future of auditory experiences.
