Gailė Griciūtė

Gailė Griciūtė – kompozitorė ir garso menininkė. Nuo 2022 m. Gailė yra Vilniaus dailės akademijos doktorantė, jos tyrimo tema – „Garso menas kaip kitybės praktika“, o darbo vadovas – Peteris Ablingeris. Baigė Sibelijaus muzikos akademiją Helsinkyje (Suomija) ir Lietuvos muzikos ir teatro akademiją, taip pat kaip kviestinė studentė studijavo Frankfurto prie Maino Städelschule. Gailė yra performansų kolektyvo „Eye Gymnastics“ (Viktorija Damerell ir Gailė Griciūtė) narė. Jų darbai buvo rodyti įvairiuose festivaliuose Lietuvoje ir užsienyje. Keletas festivalių ir koncertų ciklų, kuriuose buvo pristatyti Gailės Griciūtės garso ir meno projektai: „Ahead“, „Jauna muzika“, „Soundscape“, „NOA“, „Estonia“, „Gaida“, „Vilniaus performanso meno bienalė“ (Lietuva), „Couterflows“, Cafe OTO (Jungtinė Karalystė)‚ „Unsound“ (Krokuva), „Labor Sonor“ (Berlynas), „Atmospherics“ (Haus Der Kunst, Miunchenas), PUNKT festival (Kristiansandas) „O!“ (Roterdamas), Théâtre de la Ville, Théâtre des Abbesses, „PERFORMISSIMA“ (Paryžius).

Gailė Griciūtė is a composer and sound artist. Since year 2022 she is PhD student at Vilnius Academy of Arts. Her research topic is “Sound Art As A Practice of Otherness”, supervisor Peter Ablinger. She graduated from the Sibelius Academy of Music in Helsinki, Finland and Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, also studied as a guest student at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Gailė is a member of performance collective Eye Gymnastics (Viktorija Damerell and Gaile Griciute). Their works have been shown at various festivals in Lithuania and Germany. Some of the festivals and concert series where Gailė Griciūtė’s sound and art projects were presented: Ahead, Jauna muzika, Soundscape, NOA, Estonia, Gaida, Vilnius Performance Biennial (Lithuania), Couterflows, Cafe OTO (UK), Unsound (Krakow), Labor Sonor (Berlin), Atmospherics (Haus Der Kunst, Munich) and O! festival for Opera.
